Due to government restrictions imposed to combat the COVID-19 outbreak, it was necessary for the organisers to cancel the 2020 event.
In July 2020 we had hoped to be again assisting the organisers with stewarding what would have been the 43rd anniversary event of these Horse Trials which were first held in 1976.
Members and Friends of Wilton Rotary had helped with the stewarding of the event for the previous 10 years earning nearly £20,000 for our U.K. registered charity, The Rotary Club of Wilton Trust Fund.
The traditional parkland venue of Wilton House is home to Honorary Wilton Rotarian, the Earl and his wife the Countess of Pembroke, and provided a beautiful backdrop to the event.
The best riders were usually in attendance and it was a thoroughly enjoyable weekend for us with a pleasing fundraising outcome.
