Our Speaker tonight is Dr Hadrian Cook who will speak on the Suburbanization of Salisbury. Hadrian teaches in adult education and is a trustee and ‘drowner’ for the Harnham Water Meadows Trust at Salisbury, UK. He held academic positions at Wye College and Imperial College within the University of London, more recently at Kingston University and was a consultant to the Rural Economy and Land Use programme of the United Kingdom’s Research Councils. Hadrian’s background is in Earth sciences, and he has researched, written and taught in sustainable soil management, soil hydrology, river catchment management concentrating on the floodplain, environmental policy and landscape history.
